Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorship(upbeat music) - We find Eliza at the beginning of this series, back in the comfort of her office.
She's had a level of success that means that she can reemploy Clarence and her staff and the two of them make a really good pair fighting to stay in the wild west of the private investigation industry in London.
- Eliza.
- Please just say something positive.
(gun cocking) - My name is Tom Durant-Pritchard.
I am playing the role of Alexander Blake.
Are we ready?
- Yes, Inspector Blake, - He is the detective inspector who's taken over at Scotland Yard.
He is trying to get things under his control pretty quickly.
That's blackmail.
- That's business.
- Not for you, it isn't.
- We see Ivy in a really unhappy place at the beginning of this season.
Everybody around her feels like they're all moving on.
Mr. Potts has got a promotion.
Lizzie is getting on with her business.
Ivy feels undervalued, underlined.
- Must go.
- And in a bit of a rut.
Lizzie.
- Season five is gonna be the most exciting season, yet.
So we see Clarence stepping up and going into the field as a proper detective.
So it's been huge fun seeing him leave his little world of the office and actually go out and face a bit of danger.
- I think this is our best season to date.
I think there's huge surprises, new characters, and there's a big event at the end of this season.
- I think our viewers can look forward to some really suspenseful storylines and some really great cases as ever.
- You will firstly, get to meet Alexander Blake and you will see a relationship of sorts with Eliza blossoming over the episodes.
And I guess we'll just have to see what happens.
